Although the Bellefonte Academy building appears on the National Registry of Historical Buildings, it is difficult to conceive that the Bellefonte Academy is not designated by a Pennsylvania Historical Marker.
No other facility or organization in Bellefonte's long and storied history, brought more notoriety and fame to the town, and "the Bellefonte Academy has educated more governors, more senators, more judges, and more public men ... than any other school in Pennsylvania"
If that doesn't deserve an Historical Marker … what does ?
